Art is a very relaxing subject. But we all know, that when we have a subject we like, we need to have a good teacher to teach it. I love my art classes! I look forward to it every week, and I am happy whenever I work. When I try something new in art, I am very eager to learn it. Teacher Mae is an amazing teacher and teaches you so much, while being a fun and understanding teacher as well. Teacher Mae is a patient and a really great teacher. She always tells me where I can improve, but she encourages me at the same time. I love my teacher Mae!

Shilpa- (mother of Amolika)

My daughter has been learning art under teacher Mae since almost a year and half . She has learnt so many styles under her - charcoal , portrait ,landscape scenes .
Her drawing has improved incredibly under the teacher's watchful eye .
Teacher Mae is very soft spoken and patient and is really dedicated towards her work . I am so glad to have her as my daughter's art teacher .

Sharmaine- (mother of David, Jody and Luanne)

I have three children and Teacher Mae has inspired all of them. All three - David, Jody and Lulu - had the fortune of enjoying  art classes with Teacher Mae when they were pre-schoolers. Their final pieces of art, beautifully and carefully worked on, are certainly worthy of hanging in the family home; but in observing Teacher Mae, it is clear that the journey to producing each masterpiece is just as important as the destination.

Unlike some other art teachers who want their students to adopt the copy-and-paste approach, she takes a consultative approach from the start. She shows great respect for the child's opinion, asking them what they wish to express on the canvas, and for each child's skill level so they feel supported and enthusiastic, never fearful or inferior.

Each piece of art work is therefore an expression of my child's inner world, which Teacher Mae expertly draws out and helps my child to render on canvas by teaching them new skills. They are always delighted by their art works, and my youngest Lulu is so inspired she aspires to be an art teacher just like Teacher Mae.

Bliss - (mother of Riley)

Riley has been learning art with Teacher Mae since he was 5 years old. He initially started lessons with her at pre-school and when he moved on to primary school, he started having individual lessons with her. From developing an early interest in art as a pre-schooler to delving into drawing and painting techniques in the past couple of years, Riley has certainly learnt a lot from Teacher Mae.

As an art educator, Teacher Mae plans for her student's exposure to and experience in art according to the individual needs  of her students. Riley has certainly benefitted greatly from her knowledge and sense of aesthetics. Beyond the technical, Teacher Mae also exhibits a great deal of patience in dealing with children and she has been nothing but adept in handling the moodiness and restlessness Riley occasionally demonstrates.

The one hour Riley spends with Teacher Mae each week go beyond mere lessons as it gives him a platform to focus and create. Teacher Mae's guidance on art and beyond also give him an alternate point of view on learning. Art lessons have certainly become a part of Riley's life!

I like Teacher Mae because she tells you to plan before you draw and if it is an animal, she will tell you how to draw it and how big it must be on a canvas.

I like her lessons because you can tell her what you want to draw. You can use clay, paint, pastels and almost anything you want to use. You have a wide variety of things you can draw!
